Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Real Estate Ventures Over the Years
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, the beloved Hollywood couple, have made headlines once again with their real estate ventures. Over the years, the couple has expanded their footprint in the Pacific Palisades and indulged in their love for Greece by purchasing dream vacation homes.
In 2003, Hanks and Wilson acquired two neighboring properties in the Pacific Palisades, overlooking the sea. The first property was a four-bedroom Spanish Revival–style villa, while the second was a seven-bedroom English cottage-style mansion. The couple paid a total of $13.1 million for both homes, which were later sold for a combined price of $17.5 million in 2017.
In 2004, before becoming honorary Greek citizens, Hanks and Wilson purchased a plot of land on the small island of Antiparos in Greece to build a dream vacation home. The property, spanning 1,476 square feet on about six acres of land, offers the couple the privacy they seek during their getaways.
Their most well-known residence is their $26 million Pacific Palisades mansion, which boasts 14,513 square feet of living space, perched atop a cliffside overlooking the ocean. The home, originally built in 1996 and updated in 2006, features luxurious amenities such as a wine cellar, cliffside swimming pool, and tree-lined motor court.
In 2018, Hanks and Wilson reportedly purchased a second home in the Skala area of Patmos Island in Greece. The seaside villa, built from stone in the Dodecanese architectural style, offers an expansive terrace with stunning views of the sea.
With their impressive real estate portfolio spanning from California to Greece, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson continue to showcase their love for beautiful homes and exotic getaways.
