“Touring the Hilltop Estate: A Napa-Inspired Dream Home Makeover”
Title: Hilltop Estate: A Dream Home Makeover Success Story
In a stunning fusion of Napa-inspired design and coastal influences, the Hilltop Estate stands majestically atop a hill in Southern California, offering sweeping views that captivate the senses. This architectural marvel, featured in Episode 3, Season 3 of Dream Home Makeover with Liz and Neil, is a testament to meticulous attention to detail and four years of dedicated craftsmanship.
The brainchild of Shea McGee, this 9,000 square foot estate, aptly named the Hilltop Estate, boasts breathtaking vistas from every window, creating a sanctuary of luxury and comfort. Collaborating with Lombardi Construction and architect Louise Le Gardeur from Hart Howerton, Shea and her team embarked on a journey to bring the clients’ vision to life.
Neil, one of the Hilltop Estate clients, expressed his delight in working with Shea and her team again, emphasizing the seamless transition from their previous project in Utah to this Southern California masterpiece. The goal of the estate was to create a space where friends and family could gather, unwind, and create lasting memories.
From the initial mood board to the final touches, every aspect of the Hilltop Estate was carefully curated to reflect the clients’ style and preferences. The architectural blueprint, envisioned by Louise Le Gardeur, seamlessly integrated with the interior design choices, creating a harmonious blend of textures, colors, and materials.
The color palette of Swiss Coffee by Dunn Edwards provided a neutral backdrop for the home’s design, while oak wood paneling and subtle hues of blues, greens, browns, and grays added warmth and depth to the space. Key furniture pieces, such as a cozy sectional in the family room and sculptural decor accents, enhanced the overall ambiance of the estate.
As Shea McGee aptly puts it, “This home took four years to build, and I am so glad we designed a space that grows up well. It speaks to picking foundational pieces that can be changed through textiles and color palette.”
