Designer Raili Clasen Transforms Former Home into a California Bungalow Oasis
Interior designer Raili Clasen recently completed a stunning redesign of her former family home in Newport Beach, California, for a client. The five-bedroom bungalow, originally designed by Clasen in 2012, received a fresh update with the addition of a pool, pool house, and extra space. Clasen maintained the home’s California ranch style while infusing warm and comforting palettes and textures throughout.
One of the standout rooms in the home is the living room, featuring painted ‘craggy’ wood siding and custom furniture pieces. The living room lounge was transformed into a full bar with unique rope-wrapped beams and vintage decor. The primary bedroom offers serene views of the sunrise and pool, while the daughter’s bedroom showcases uncommon shades and a cozy atmosphere.
Clasen’s attention to detail is evident in every room, from the ’70s-inspired striped bedroom to the wave-themed wall decoration in the middle son’s bedroom. The outdoor spaces were also carefully designed, with a focus on creating a resort-like atmosphere with a fire pit, garden, and outdoor dining area.
Overall, Clasen’s redesign of her former home showcases her talent for creating inviting and stylish spaces that cater to her clients’ needs and preferences. The project is a true reflection of her design expertise and passion for creating beautiful and functional interiors.
